Gabriella Perry and Drayson Andrade have been awarded the Oak Grove Cape Verdean Cultural Center’s Mary V. Rose scholarship this year. This scholarship aims to alleviate financial burdens for local high school graduates as they pursue their academic ambitions.
Perry is currently enrolled at Salem State University, focusing on psychology with the goal of specializing in child therapy. Meanwhile, Andrade is pursuing a fine arts degree in comic art design at New England College.
