Students and community members in Washington, Beaufort County, recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with the “Colors of Culture” event, organized by Beaufort County Schools. The celebration featured art, performances, activities, and food, highlighting contributions from students at P.S. Jones Middle School and Washington Elementary School.
One of the highlights was the “Viva La Vida” mural, painted by some of the students. Attendees also enjoyed local art, sweets, and cultural performances. The festivities were set to conclude by 1 p.m. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15.
