The American Business Club (ABC) is set to donate over $126,000 to 55 charities in Springfield during a presentation scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, at ABC Family Park on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
These funds were raised by ABC volunteers managing gate admissions at the Illinois State Fair since 2004. This year’s contributions will bring ABC’s total donations to more than $5.7 million to the Springfield area over the past 40 years.
ABC President Trenton Thompson expressed gratitude towards the Illinois Department of Agriculture and the volunteer organizations for their support in raising funds for local charities.
