In Kastellorizo, Science Turns into a Quest for Answers

The 6th Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival – Science Games will take place from October 16-18 on the remote Greek island of Kastellorizo. This unique festival blends science, education, and creativity, transforming the island into a dynamic learning environment.

Initiated by Pantazis Choulis and Eleni Grammatikopoulou in 2021, the festival encourages participants to ask better questions rather than simply providing answers. This approach fosters curiosity, essential for scientific inquiry.

The event will feature hands-on workshops, STEM activities, escape rooms, and discussions on topics like artificial intelligence and misinformation, making science accessible and engaging for everyone—children, students, teachers, and visitors alike.

Prominent figures from various academic institutions, including experts in pediatrics, endocrinology, and engineering, will participate, enriching the program.

Emphasizing the island’s natural beauty and cultural identity, the festival will highlight local flora, inviting exploration of the interconnectedness of science and the environment. Education is integrated into local school activities, ensuring students engage directly with scientific concepts.

Ultimately, Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival celebrates the spirit of inquiry, illustrating that the journey of discovery starts with a child’s simple question. For more details, visit Kastellorizo Festival.
