Upcoming Art Exhibition at Red Dot Gallery
The Red Dot Gallery is excited to present the clay sculptures of Claudia Jeffers starting this week. Jeffers, a narrative sculptor and ceramics teacher at ASiF Studios in Grass Valley, will showcase a unique array of her work.
“Clay is a primary medium,” says Jeffers. “I sometimes add encaustic backgrounds or painted wooden platforms to my sculptures, creating scenes. I am always charmed by folk art from around the world and influenced by many cultures.”
The gallery, located upstairs in Treats Ice Cream in Nevada City, offers an inviting space for art lovers. To visit, simply enter the shop and head up the stairs.
Red Dot Gallery is a collaborative effort by artists Peggy Wright, Kathryn Wronski, and Jerianne Van Dijk, who showcase their work alongside various guest artists like Jeffers. They have recently added jewelry to their offerings, with an upcoming announcement regarding a new local jeweler.
