Every year, The Grotto in Portland, Oregon, hosts a special event called the Blessing of the Animals, inviting pet owners to bring their beloved pets for a ceremonial blessing. This cherished occasion attracts a large crowd and is eagerly anticipated by the community.
Sebastian Gonzalez attended this event with his Siberian husky, Monti, and his wife, Serina. While they hoped for a peaceful experience, Monti had other ideas. When the priest began singing “Hallelujah,” Monti couldn’t resist and joined in with enthusiastic howling. The priest, charmed by Monti’s performance, handed him the mic, allowing him to steal the show.
Monti joyfully howled into the mic, much to the delight and laughter of his family and fellow attendees, who were all fellow pet owners. While Monti had his moment in the spotlight, the atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie.
The event was a resounding success, with many pet parents and their animals in attendance. Everyone left looking forward to next year’s gathering, especially Monti. The Grotto expressed the significance of this event on social media, emphasizing its role as a cherished moment of community connection.
