A tragic three-vehicle crash on U.S. 290 in Manor, Texas, occurred on the night of October 2, resulting in one driver’s death. The incident left all eastbound lanes near Gregg Manor Road temporarily closed as emergency services responded at around 10 p.m.
Police reported that first responders, including Travis County ESD No. 12 and Austin-Travis County EMS, attempted lifesaving measures, including CPR, on one of the drivers at the scene, but unfortunately, the driver did not survive. Other individuals involved in the crash were reported uninjured.
The crash, which took place between Threshold Lane and Gregg Manor Road, caused significant delays for approximately 3.5 hours as authorities conducted their investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that a vehicle traveling eastbound struck the rear of another vehicle due to stopped traffic, pushing it into a third vehicle.
The identities of those involved have not been released, and the Manor Police Department expressed condolences to the deceased driver’s family while thanking first responders for their efforts during the emergency.
