Coforge, an IT solutions provider specializing in AI, cloud modernization, and data transformation, is expanding its automotive engineering business with a workforce of 300 across India, the US, Europe, and Latin America. This expansion responds to increasing automaker investments in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and advanced technologies.
Previously known as NIIT Technologies, Coforge emphasizes vehicle software, connectivity, cloud services, cybersecurity, and AI in next-gen automotive platforms. While specific investment and revenue targets were not disclosed, the company’s operations encompass vehicle architecture, software development, and related activities.
As software integration becomes vital in vehicle development, Coforge aims to enhance capabilities in areas such as over-the-air (OTA) management, vehicle-to-everything (V2X), and predictive maintenance. They have executed projects for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers, focusing on cyber security and connected vehicle solutions.
Vijay Verma, Executive Vice President, highlighted the shift in the industry from traditional vehicles to software-driven platforms, underscoring the complexities this entails. Coforge is leveraging AI to improve engineering efficiency and automate manufacturing processes.
