Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, EVP Communications at Disney Entertainment Television, is leaving the company after eight years to pursue a new opportunity. She shared the news in a memo to her team, expressing gratitude for her experience at Disney.
Bulochnikov-Paul joined Disney in March 2017 as VP Communications at Freeform, following its rebrand from ABC Family. She quickly gained recognition by spearheading the first Freeform Summit in January 2018 and later held positions across various brands within Disney, including ABC, FX, Hulu Originals, and National Geographic Content.
She was promoted multiple times, culminating in her current role as EVP, Publicity and Head of Communications for Disney General Entertainment. Despite some changes in her position under new CEO Josh D’Amaro, her departure is not linked to any recent layoffs or retirement packages.
In her farewell note, Bulochnikov-Paul reflected on her time at Disney, expressing appreciation for her colleagues and the challenges they faced together. Debra OConnell, DET Chairman, acknowledged her contributions and leadership in a memo to staff.
Outside of work, Bulochnikov-Paul advocates for multiple sclerosis awareness, living with the condition herself. She was honored with the Medal of Hope Award earlier this year.
