Sherburne: Science and Outdoor Career Exploration Night
For many curious youth, an ideal career is one that allows them to spend time outdoors. On Thursday, October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Rogers Environmental Education Center will host middle and high school students for its first annual Science and Outdoor Career Exploration Night. This event aims to help students discover potential career paths and learn how to pursue them.
Professionals from various fields will represent natural resources, wildlife, forestry, land management, and more. Students will have the chance to ask experts questions and explore real gear used in different professions.
Erica Clark, Senior Educator for the Friends of Rogers, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We are thrilled to host a Science & Outdoor Career Exploration Night! The goal is to connect students with passionate professionals in the field.”
The event is free and open to the public. Participants will receive a passport to be stamped at each booth they visit, and those who collect stamps from multiple tables will be entered into a grand prize drawing.
