According to newly leaked internal documents, Insomniac Games is actively preparing to develop a big-budget action game set in the X-Men universe. This project will follow their work on Marvel’s Wolverine, with full development set to begin after the conclusion of Wolverine’s story, establishing a standalone mutant saga within the shared video game universe.
Sources suggest that the game is likely to be released exclusively on the upcoming PlayStation 6 console. However, if development accelerates, it may also target both the PlayStation 5 and the next-generation system.
The new title will emphasize a story-driven single-player experience, featuring semi-open locations and key characters from Professor X’s team.
