VGK Kicks Off Training Camp with a Sense of ‘Unfinished Goals’ Following Stanley Cup Final Journey

The Vegas Golden Knights opened their training camp for the 10th season under new head coach Ryan Craig. The team is still motivated by their near miss in the last Stanley Cup, with general manager Kelly McCrimmon emphasizing “unfinished business.”

This season, training camp is shorter due to changes in the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement, creating a sense of urgency as the team prepares for four preseason games before the regular season begins on September 29. Craig noted the players must hit the ground running, with no time to ease into camp.

Key players like Jack Eichel and captain Mark Stone are focused on winning the Stanley Cup, while also appreciating the importance of consistent communication among teammates. The camp is not only crucial for veterans but also for younger players like Braeden Bowman and Trevor Connelly, who are vying for a spot on the roster.

Despite the changes with Craig at the helm, the Golden Knights’ goal remains clear: to succeed where they fell short last season.
