The owners of Ball Arena, which hosts the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, have unveiled plans for a $135 million renovation of the 27-year-old venue. The project includes a 30,000-square-foot expansion featuring a new glass façade on the east lobby, increasing east entrance doors from eight to 20, and introducing escalators. A new team store will be roughly double the current size.
Additionally, fans will enjoy a large LED screen outside to catch sports content and a 34,000-square-foot pedestrian plaza facing Chopper Circle. The renovation promises technology upgrades to reduce wait times and the addition of three new clubs, including one with reserved seating access.
Previous enhancements to luxury suites are set to debut in the 2026-27 season. Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) aims to develop winning teams and support Denver, with renovations allowing the arena to serve as a central hub for the community for the next 25 years.
Construction is expected to start in summer 2027, with completion in fall 2028, while minimizing disruption for fans. The redevelopment plan for surrounding land remains a long-term goal. KSE is committed to elevating the arena experience to world-class standards.
