Car Crash Hits Two Sioux City Businesses
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – A car crashed into two businesses on the Northside just before 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. The incident affected JC Wholesale and the neighboring Kung Fu Tea.
According to Sgt. Van Roekel from the Sioux City Police Department, the accident was caused by an inexperienced driver who mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
Mary Nguyen, the owner of Kung Fu Tea, mentioned that they received the green light from police to continue business operations. Fortunately, the crash occurred before the store opened, and staff expressed gratitude that no customers were inside at the time.
While repairs are underway, Kung Fu Tea will remain open but will limit services to take-out and pick-up orders. No injuries were reported from the incident.
