Former Warner Bros Motion Picture Boss Toby Emmerich has joined FilmNation Entertainment’s production label Infrared as a consultant. He and FilmNation recently collaborated on the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film I Play Rocky, which premiered at TIFF and is set for release on Nov. 13.
Emmerich will consult on developing and producing projects for Infrared, known for genre films with franchise potential. He will also continue to operate Fireside Films and Fireside Television. Upcoming Infrared releases include Painter starring Amber Midthunder and Skeletons starring Brie Larson.
FilmNation CEO Glen Basner praised Emmerich’s creative instincts, while Emmerich expressed his excitement about working with the FilmNation team. Prior to this role, Emmerich was the Chairman of Warner Bros and has extensive experience with New Line Cinema and AMC Theatres’ film label.
