Lynchburg Humane Society Offers Supporters a Sneak Peek of Upcoming Regional Veterinary Clinic

The Lynchburg Humane Society is making significant strides in improving veterinary care for pets in Central Virginia with the construction of a new Regional Veterinary Clinic on Old Graves Mill Road. Set to provide low-cost, high-quality services, the clinic will become the new home for the society’s spay and neuter clinic, which has been serving over 20 localities from Evington.

Executive Director Jill Mollohan highlighted the clinic’s mission to increase accessibility for pet owners who may struggle to afford care. By offering services to counties like Campbell, Bedford, and Appomattox, the initiative aims to reduce the number of pets entering shelters.

The project comes with a cost of $7.5 million, and while $5 million has already been raised, community support remains crucial to achieving the fundraising goal. This new facility is anticipated to help over 13,000 dogs and cats annually, ensuring more pets stay with their families instead of being surrendered to shelters.
