Ripple Targets $13 Trillion Corporate Treasury Market for Stablecoin Opportunities

Ripple views the corporate treasury sector as a significant opportunity, estimating it to be worth $13 trillion for its stablecoin initiatives. Jack McDonald, Ripple’s SVP of Stablecoins, highlighted this potential during a recent interview, emphasizing the relevance of Ripple Treasury, which was established following Ripple’s $1 billion acquisition of treasury software provider GTreasury in 2025.

Ripple Treasury serves around 1,200 corporate treasurer and CFO clients, facilitating cross-border and domestic fund transfers. This customer base is currently operating outside blockchain systems, but they collectively manage around $13 trillion in transactions annually.

The stablecoin ecosystem is maturing, with over $300 billion in circulation and increasing regulatory frameworks being established by governments. Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, launched nearly two years ago, has seen rapid growth, with its circulating supply rising to $2.4 billion, although it still trails behind competitors like Tether and Circle.

The industry is shifting, with recent trends moving away from viewing stablecoins merely as products to integrating them into existing financial services infrastructure. This evolution prompts questions about the potential of stablecoins in enhancing financial operations through programmable infrastructure.
