Jungle Exotic Pets Begins Cleanup After Fire; Animals Monitored
Cleanup is underway at Jungle Exotic Pets following a fire that resulted in significant damages. Most of the store’s old saltwater tanks have been removed, and the health and safety of the animals are being closely monitored.
Chris Hegwood has provided a roll-off dumpster for the cleanup effort, and several volunteers, including Brooklee, Celeste, and Jessica, are dedicated to caring for the animals. According to the business’s social media update, while the cleanup process is lengthy, they are grateful for the support.
During the incident, a pet named Hollywood was kept safe in a separate room. Reptiles and birds, housed in enclosed areas, also survived, along with small mammals. The animals will continue to receive monitoring, but additional volunteers are not currently needed as the most challenging aspects of cleanup are still to come.
