MumFest, New Bern’s celebrated annual festival, will take place in the historic downtown area on October 10 and 11. The event promises live music, delicious food, shopping, and family-friendly activities.
Presented by Swiss Bear, the Riverside Automotive Group, and the city of New Bern, MumFest will showcase over 250 vendors featuring handmade arts and crafts, local businesses, and nonprofits. Attendees can savor offerings from local restaurants and a variety of food trucks.
Karen Sullivan, executive director of Swiss Bear, highlighted the festival as a special celebration of the city and its vibrant community, catering to everyone with music, food, rides, and camaraderie.
Musical performances include Sam Morrow and the Wilder Blue, alongside other local acts. There will also be community entertainment such as BMX stunt shows, dog demonstrations, and roller derby exhibitions.
Families can enjoy activities in the new MumFest KidsZone, while additional attractions include a car show, helicopter display, and various interactive demonstrations.
The festival aims to support local businesses and foster community spirit. Proceeds from MumFest are reinvested into downtown development projects, enriching the area for residents and visitors alike. Sullivan encourages everyone to join in and experience the unique charm of New Bern.
