Akamai Shares Soar Following Partnership with Anthropic for AI Computing

Akamai Technologies (AKAM) and AI model maker Anthropic recently announced an $11 billion, seven-year agreement for computing infrastructure. Following the news, Akamai’s stock surged in after-hours trading. The deal has the potential to expand by an additional $9 billion, bringing the total commitment to about $20 billion. Anthropic will leverage Akamai’s existing infrastructure as part of this collaboration.
