Way too early to claim hantavirus will turn into a pandemic; we have time to contain it. However, a 40% death rate shouldn’t lead to assumptions of it “burning out”; that logic applies to isolated regions, not to individuals taking international flights. The Black Death, after all, went pandemic with a death rate above 40%.
