Todd Snyder: A Designer for the Stars
Celebrity Endorsement Beginnings
Fashion designer Todd Snyder recalls a pivotal moment from 2013 when he learned that actor Ryan Gosling was a fan of his work. Shortly after launching his menswear brand, Snyder and his small team were thrilled to discover that Gosling had made a purchase.
A Rising Star in Fashion
Since that day, Snyder’s creations have graced the bodies of numerous celebrities at high-profile events. Notable names like Hudson Williams, Sterling K. Brown, Colman Domingo, Noah Wyle, Tom Francis, Brendan Fraser, Jim Parsons, and Aaron Tveit have trusted Snyder’s designs for their red carpet appearances.
“In my mind, Todd Snyder’s work is instantly recognizable yet never screams for attention,” says Gosling’s stylist, Mark Avery, praising Snyder’s attention to detail without resorting to spectacle.

Versatile Appeal
Stylists like Warren Alfie Baker, who has dressed stars such as Glen Powell and Matt Bomer in Snyder’s designs, appreciate the blend of vintage styles and Americana that the brand offers. Snyder’s garments cater to both casual and formal occasions.
A Lasting Connection
Snyder remembers meeting Bomer at the CFDA Awards in 2012, where Bomer expressed his admiration for Snyder’s work. Their encounter marked the start of a lasting friendship.

“The Gilded Age” actor Ben Ahlers stars in the new campaign for the Todd Snyder and Lagavulin whiskey capsule collection.
Celebrating 15 Years
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Snyder’s brand, celebrated during New York Fashion Week with a launch party for his new collaborative capsule with Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch whisky. Actor Ben Ahlers, who stars in the campaign, shares a bond with Snyder over their Iowa roots.
Ahlers remarks, “Todd’s success and mastery made me feel unique despite growing up outside the city.”
Upcoming Collection
Ahlers’ campaign was shot at Lagavulin’s distillery in Islay, Scotland, and features pieces like a suede stable jacket, reflecting Snyder’s design ethos. The full collection will be available online and in select stores starting October 8.
Special Guests and Surprises
To top off the anniversary celebration, Matt Berninger of The National will perform. Snyder shares about his excitement when Berninger reached out for a collaboration, noting the significance of dressing someone he regards as a fashion hero.
For Snyder, each connection and collaboration brings him closer to fulfilling his vision in the fashion world, while remaining grounded in his roots.
