‘Celebrity Traitors’ Debut Achieves Record Ratings with 9 Million Viewers

The second season of the U.K.’s “Celebrity Traitors” has premiered to record-breaking numbers, with over 8.8 million viewers tuning in. The viewership peaked at 9 million, representing more than 50% of those watching TV at the time, making it the evening’s top program.

This premiere set a new record for “The Traitors” series, attracting around 3 million more viewers than previous launches, including both the celebrity and civilian versions. The audience is expected to grow as more viewers catch up on the first episode.

The season stars a notable cast, including Richard E. Grant, Bella Ramsey, Myha’la, and others, under the hosting of Claudia Winkleman. The show airs on BBC One and iPlayer every Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. BST, with new episodes releasing soon.

Additionally, Season 5 of the civilian “Traitors” in the U.K. is set to premiere early next year, and the franchise has gained popularity in the U.S. with its own celebrity version hosted by Alan Cumming on Peacock, alongside a civilian spinoff titled “New Blood.”
