Steve Belichick resigns from UNC football following the conclusion of program culture investigation.

Steve Belichick has resigned from his position as the defensive coordinator for North Carolina’s football team following an internal investigation that revealed certain actions inconsistent with the university’s values. The investigation, wrapped up this Thursday, led to the conclusion that these actions were isolated, and corrective measures are being implemented. Both Steve and former GM Michael Lombardi were not directly implicated in any wrongdoing.

Belichick’s resignation is effective on October 27, coinciding with the end of his medical leave that started on August 6.

Additionally, recent news from UNC includes legal issues involving players Keeyun Chapman and C.J. Sadler. Chapman faces charges related to carrying a concealed weapon, leading to his indefinite suspension, while Sadler received a speeding ticket.
