TIFF Investment Management has announced two significant hires to enhance its private equity secondaries platform. Andrew Murray joins as managing director and head of secondary market investing, while Stephen Grau takes on the role of executive director of secondary investing. Together, they bring over 30 years of experience in the secondaries market.
The firm aims to capitalize on opportunities in this space, which includes limited-partner-fund interests, co-investments, and other private equity vehicles. TIFF CEO Kane Brenan emphasized the growing importance of secondaries for investors seeking flexible liquidity options.
Murray comes from Mill Creek Capital Advisors, and Grau previously worked at Jefferies. Their expertise is expected to strengthen TIFF’s approach to navigating inefficient market segments with transaction sizes between $2 million and $20 million.
For clients, the goal is to provide more access to alternatives, while meeting the needs of general partners and asset holders with experienced, efficient solutions.
