Strictly Come Dancing: Chris Appleton Eliminated in First Results Show

Strictly Come Dancing has seen its first elimination of the season, with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton and his partner Amy Dowden being sent home. The couple faced the Bottom Two alongside actor Jaime Winstone and dancer Carlos Gu.
In the absence of a public vote during the initial live show, judges’ scores from both weeks were tallied and combined with votes from last night’s episode. This led to Chris and Amy competing against Jaime and Carlos in a dance-off for survival.
Both couples performed their Movie Week routines a second time: Chris and Amy danced the Cha Cha to “I’ll Be Ready” from Baywatch, while Jaime and Carlos chose “Oh, Pretty Woman” from Pretty Woman. Ultimately, the judges unanimously voted to save Jaime and Carlos, with Craig Revel Horwood also indicating he would have saved Jaime.
Reflecting on his journey, Chris described his experience as “a whirlwind of emotion” and expressed gratitude for his time on the show, emphasizing the friendship he built with Amy.
