Claudia Winkleman faces prohibition from executives during Celebrity Traitors selection.

Claudia Winkleman Banned from Wearing Jewelry on Celebrity Traitors

Claudia Winkleman is back for Celebrity Traitors on BBC One, but there’s a unique restriction in place for her during the game’s tense moments. Executive producer Sarah Fay revealed that Winkleman is not allowed to wear any jewelry, as even the smallest jingle could give away critical information during the game.

The Rules of Silence

This rule was disclosed during a screening ahead of the show’s premiere on October 1st. According to Fay, “We’re very strict on that, in case it jangles.” The selection process during the show involves contestants sitting blindfolded while Winkleman discreetly identifies the chosen Traitors by tapping them on the shoulder. The goal is to maintain absolute silence to ensure the integrity of the game.

Winkleman’s Own Fears

Winkleman herself admitted that she feels nervous during the selection, stating, “I get scared and panic.” She goes so far as to wear “spiky, noisy, scary shoes,” likening her movements to flamenco dancing.

A Star-Studded Cast

The second season of Celebrity Traitors features a lineup of celebrities competing for a £100,000 prize for their chosen charitable causes. Contestants include pansexual comedian Joe Lycett and queer actors Sebastian Croft and Bella Ramsey.

Celebrity Traitors airs every Sunday at 8 PM on BBC One.
