Wave Life Sciences Appoints Monika Vnuk, MD, as Chief Business Officer

(Nasdaq: WVE), a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in RNA medicines, has announced the appointment of Monika Vnuk, MD, as Chief Business Officer. In this newly created role, Dr. Vnuk will oversee business development, corporate development, and alliance management.

Background of Dr. Monika Vnuk:
Before joining Wave, Dr. Vnuk held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Head of Partnering and Business Development at Sanofi, leading global licensing and alliance efforts. Prior to that, she was Managing Director at Blackstone Life Sciences and has over ten years of senior roles at Pfizer, where she played a key role in the partnership with BioNTech for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Vnuk holds an M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine and a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Boston University.
Equity Grant:
To facilitate her transition to Wave, Dr. Vnuk received a stock option to purchase 375,000 shares of common stock, with an exercise price of $4.25 per share.
