Unsure of What to Wear to Work This Autumn? Let Rat & Boa’s Inaugural Office-Ready Collection Show You the Way!

After nearly a decade of designing vibrant resort wear and beach attire, Rat & Boa is evolving. The British brand, known for its striking dresses and Instagram-ready beachwear, is making its debut in tailoring, knitwear, and notably, workwear separates. Co-founder Valentina Muntoni emphasizes the importance of understanding their brand identity and customer before venturing into this new territory.

The brand’s journey began in 2015, in Thailand, where Muntoni and co-founder Stephanie Bennett crafted bold, statement pieces while exploring various countries. They built a loyal following on Instagram, gaining traction without traditional retail partnerships. Their direct-to-consumer approach, launched well before it became mainstream, allows them to foster a sense of scarcity that drives desire.

The pandemic accelerated their growth; newly adapted consumers craved attire that shifted beyond occasion dresses. The latest autumn/winter 2025 collection features items like leather jackets, tailored trousers, and cashmere-silk blend vests. Yet, maintaining their unique DNA, they still emphasize wearability and vibrancy.

Currently, both founders focus on sustainable growth, having transitioned 80% of their materials to certified sustainable sources. They plan to expand further into jewelry, shoes, and bags with careful consideration, emphasizing that they are not flooding the market. As they approach their tenth anniversary, Rat & Boa’s evolution reflects maturation in both the brand and its consumers, all captured in stylish, characteristically bold designs.
