Tencent Games Introduces AI Tools and Developer Sessions for GDC 2026

Tencent Games has announced its participation in the 2026 Game Developers Conference (GDC), set to showcase an impressive lineup of over 20 sessions and a technology showcase featuring the latest AI-driven development tools.

This year’s GDC will take place from March 11th to March 13th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Tencent’s showcase will delve into various topics, including game development workflows, player safety technologies, and AI-enhanced creation tools.

Tencent Games, a leading global developer and publisher, aims to illustrate how advancements in technology and production processes are transforming the gaming industry.

Tencent to showcase AI-powered development tools

At booths No. 641 and 649 in South Hall B1, Tencent will unveil a range of proprietary technologies designed to enhance game development, quality assurance, and player safety.

One standout tool is VISVISE, an AI-driven game development suite that automates the creation of 3D animations, offering features such as auto-rigging, modeling, and asset management.

Another innovative system, MagicDawn, serves as an engine technology solution featuring global illumination, spatial audio, and occlusion culling to boost performance and visual quality. This tool is compatible with popular engines including Unreal Engine, Unity, and Godot.

Additionally, Tencent will present Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE), a security framework designed to detect cheating in both PC and mobile games, alongside WeTest, the company’s quality assurance service that has assisted over 1,000 developers worldwide.

Furthermore, attendees can expect demonstrations of ASI World, an AI-driven production pipeline that automates various aspects of game development, and AI-generated Kung Fu motion systems from MoreFun Studios, aimed at enriching martial arts animations in gaming.

Tencent developers to host sessions across GDC summits

In addition to its expo presence, Tencent developers will engage in multiple official GDC sessions.

Nathan Chen, Tencent Games’ Head of Technology, will feature in the Luminaries Speaker Series to discuss the integration of artificial intelligence into production workflows at the company’s studios.

MoreFun Studios developers will deliver a presentation titled “Illuminating Roco’s Legacy: Scalable Global Illumination from Theory to Practice,” which will investigate scalable lighting systems in gaming environments.

Meanwhile, representatives from TiMi Studio Group will host a session at the Machine Learning Summit, focusing on AI-assisted asset pipelines used during the production of Honor of Kings.

Dedicated summits to focus on AI and development pipelines

Tencent will also organize two dedicated events aimed at developers during GDC week.

The Tencent Games Developer Summit, scheduled for March 9th, will cover various topics, including marketing strategies, performance optimization for large-scale shooters, and cross-platform audio production.

Following this, the Tencent AI Summit on March 10th will concentrate on practical AI tools integrated into game production. Sessions will encompass multi-agent scene layouts, logic-driven gameplay systems, and tools designed to streamline extensive development workflows.

Sustainability and player safety discussions at GDC

Tencent Games will participate in various panel discussions throughout the conference.

At the GameSafe Summit, the company will address anti-cheat technologies and security features for multiplayer gaming. Another session will discuss how games can assist in youth protection initiatives through parental control tools.

Additionally, Tencent will take part in a sustainability panel titled “How Environmental Content Builds Engagement and Loyalty,” exploring how eco-themed in-game events can enhance player engagement. This discussion will include speakers from TiMi Studio Group, Supercell, and Wooga.

Supporting new developers and industry initiatives

As part of its commitment to the industry, Tencent will support several initiatives during the event, including sponsoring activities related to the Global Game Jam at GDC through its Game Without Borders (GWB) Game Awards.

Additionally, the company will engage in the Entertainment Software Association Foundation’s “Nite to Unite” fundraising event on March 10th, which raises funds for scholarships and educational programs in gaming and STEAM fields.

Tencent Games’ presence at GDC seeks to highlight collaboration among developers, technology providers, and the broader industry as innovative tools, particularly AI-driven systems, continue to influence the future of game development.
