For Sammy Hagar, the former lead singer of Van Halen and a notable figure in the world of tequila and spirit brands, music isn’t his only passion. He is now proudly promoting his new range of vitamins and nutritional supplements.
Hagar’s Red Rocker Essentials is a premium line of nutritional supplements created in collaboration with Nature’s Lab. These products are currently sold on the Red Rocker Essentials website, as well as on Amazon and in Walmart stores. The line features multivitamins for both men and women, along with an Energy Support powder that offers “jitter-free energy,” improved mood, and sustained focus.
At 78, Hagar has made multivitamins and amino acid supplements a staple in his routine to maintain endurance while performing. “I need strength and flexibility to perform a two-hour show at my age… and I wish to continue doing this for as long as possible,” he shared in a conversation with USA TODAY. “But I was never fully aware of what I was doing. I was just going through the motions.”

Sammy Hagar Collaborates with Nature’s Lab for Supplement Line
Wayne Gorsek, a devoted music enthusiast and the founder of Nature’s Lab, attended several of Hagar’s performances during his residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in May 2025. Intrigued, he requested a meeting with the rock star. During their discussion, they highlighted the necessity for musicians to find energy sources that don’t rely on caffeine-based drinks or stimulants.
“The first thing I mentioned to Wayne was that I sought energy without the crash,” Hagar recounted. Following their meeting, Gorsek provided Hagar a pack of supplements, advising him to take one before a show. “I followed his guidance, and an hour before performing, I noticed a significant improvement—I felt better and more flexible,” he said.
Recent studies on multivitamins and supplements have yielded mixed results, yet a 2024 study revealed that taking a multivitamin might slow cognitive decline associated with aging by up to two years. While studies have yielded varied outcomes, some experts advocate that individuals over the age of 50 could benefit from taking multivitamins or other supplements.
What Ingredients Are Found in Sammy Hagar’s Supplements?
The Red Rocker Essentials Men’s and Women’s Multivitamins contain a variety of beneficial ingredients, including turmeric (known for its anti-inflammatory properties), selenium (a key mineral for cardiovascular health), and lycopene (an antioxidant – found in the men’s version only – that supports heart and prostate health). Additionally, for longevity, the supplements include vitamin D3 (5,000 IUs) and a methylated B-complex, which is more effectively absorbed than synthetic B vitamin forms, according to Gorsek.
The Red Rocker Essentials Energy Support, a powder that can be mixed with water, features methylated B-vitamins and enfinity Paraxanthine, which the body converts from caffeine but is believed to be a safer alternative for some users. “It’s a caffeine metabolite that breaks down more quickly,” Gorsek explained. “It provides energy without the side effects of caffeine, giving a safe and natural boost without any crashing afterward.”

“I’m not one to endorse products casually; I usually establish my own companies,” Hagar noted. He previously achieved significant success when he sold Cabo Wabo tequila for nearly $100 million and later launched Santo tequila in 2017. “However, I realized I couldn’t tackle this one alone… Wayne has become like my personal supplement coach.”
No ‘Sitting Down Halfway Through’ During Sammy Hagar Shows
This new venture comes at an exciting time for Hagar, who is preparing for a tour that kicks off in June, along with rescheduled performances at Park MGM in Las Vegas from March 12-21 and again from September 18-26. His ensemble includes former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes.
Hagar hopes his fans will embrace the supplements as well. “I want my audience to stay energized with me,” he expressed. “When I look out into the crowd now, I see kids as young as 12 sitting alongside their parents, and I also recognize many of my peers in attendance. I don’t want to see anyone lingering in their seats halfway through the concert.”
