Thus, these supplements promote an “inside-out approach to skin revitalization,” functioning as “agents of deeper tissue regeneration” rather than just “superficial cosmetic solutions.”

Lee Smith, a public health professor at ARU, stated, “There have been exaggerated claims surrounding collagen supplementation, typically made by the products’ marketers.”
“Manufacturers often promise significant, rapid, and comprehensive anti-aging benefits from collagen supplementation,” he continued.
“While collagen is not a miracle cure, it does offer credible advantages when used consistently over time, especially concerning skin health and osteoarthritis.”
Smith highlighted, “Our findings indicate clear benefits in several aspects of healthy aging, while also debunking some prevalent myths about its usage.”
He further explained, “If we define anti-aging as any product or method aimed at preventing the signs of aging, our results do support this notion for certain indicators. Improvements in skin tone and moisture contribute to a more youthful appearance.”
