Hennekens provided insights in a news release, stating, “Our study, which included a large, nationally representative sample of 4,787 U.S. adults, reveals that individuals with the highest consumption of ultra-processed foods experience a statistically significant and clinically relevant 47% higher risk of cardiovascular disease.”
