The South Dakota Air and Space Museum recently hosted the “Salute to Ellsworth” car show, attracting dozens of visitors interested in classic and custom vehicles displayed alongside historic aircraft. The event aimed to raise funds for upgrading the museum’s exhibit area, including painting and restoring a B-36 engine, according to museum director Jeanie Kirkpatrick. Organizers are planning for an even larger turnout next year.
