This innovative tool allows users to craft playlists based on various criteria, including mood, genre, themes, release dates, or tracks with similar sounds. After generating a playlist, users have the flexibility to make real-time adjustments, aided by pre-written prompts that help guide their selections.
To create a playlist, users can navigate to the Library section on their mobile devices, tap ‘new,’ and then select the AI option. Some users have encountered difficulties accessing this feature initially, but this issue can often be resolved by updating the app or revisiting the Library section.
In comparison, Apple Music is currently testing a similar feature in beta, called “Playlist Playground,” although details about its full launch are still uncertain.
These initiatives reflect an industry-wide trend to use artificial intelligence for enhancing music discovery. YouTube Music has paired its AI tools with subscriber-focused enhancements, such as exclusive access to lyrics, offline playback, and free options for transferring playlists.
