The University of Houston is showcasing its connection to space exploration by donning 10 themed helmets during their game against UCF. Players will wear helmets representing the eight planets of the Milky Way, along with Pluto and the Sun. The unique assortment features 45 helmets depicting the Sun, while only one is made to honor Pluto.
The Johnson Space Center, based in Houston since 1961, continues to be NASA’s focal point for human space endeavors. In their previous matchup, UCF embraced a space theme for their annual “Space Game,” but this time it will be the Cougars celebrating spaceflight as the game kicks off at noon ET in Houston.
