Jabil’s Major Investment in Marshall County

Marshall County, Miss. – Global manufacturing giant Jabil has announced plans to invest over $119 million in a new production facility in Marshall County. This project is set to create approximately 2,200 jobs and enhance Jabil’s footprint in North Mississippi.

Local residents like Rodney Crane expressed hope that this investment will lead to long-term opportunities, promoting economic growth in the area. Crane noted, “It’s a big plus when people in this city and Marshall County can obtain a valid and secure job that will help support them and their families.”

Jabil intends to purchase and renovate an existing 1.5 million-square-foot facility, which will focus on manufacturing products for the expanding data center infrastructure market. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves hailed the announcement as “another massive win for our state,” emphasizing that manufacturing is thriving in Mississippi thanks to a strong workforce.

Jabil’s investment marks its second in Marshall County within a year. Local leaders anticipate that this development will not only strengthen the regional workforce but also further bolster North Mississippi’s manufacturing sector.
