Cisco Enhances AI Defense with New Features for IT Operations
Cisco is set to bolster the security of enterprise AI deployments with significant updates to its AI Defense suite. This expansion is the largest since its introduction in January 2025 and was announced at Cisco Live in Amsterdam. The newly introduced features aim to enhance security measures for agentic AI tools and their supply chains. One key addition is an AI “Bill of Materials,” which will provide deeper visibility into Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and third-party dependencies. Additionally, a dedicated MCP Catalog will soon be available to further streamline operations.
