HUDSON WILLIAMS IS open about his fitness ambitions. The 24-year-old star of Crave/HBO’s hit show Heated Rivalry understands the importance of maintaining a solid physique and views fitness as a priority. “We’ve got a mission to maintain [the butt],” he said during a recent workout session at the MH Fitness Hub. “I want to not only keep this shape but also enhance it.”
Interestingly, his co-star Connor Storrie approaches conversations about his own physique differently. “I’m comfortable discussing mine, but Connor—the guy with the most impressive physique I’ve seen—probably wishes to keep his gorgeous physique out of the spotlight,” Williams joked.
Williams’s commitment to fitness isn’t just fueled by his role as hockey star Shane Hollander. His dedication to maintaining a strong physique began in childhood, with his father introducing him to weight training at around six years old. “There are videos of him trying to get weights into my hands,” Williams recalled fondly.
To shape the physique he showcases on screen, Williams aims to work out five times a week, adjusting to at least three sessions when his schedule is tight. He prefers efficient, total-body workouts lasting around 45 minutes to an hour. Initially, the show’s creator suggested Williams embody a more wiry hockey player look, but upon seeing his co-stars—especially Storrie—Williams was inspired to enhance his training regimen to mirror a more muscular aesthetic.
Real-life athletes like Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid serve as motivation for Williams, who admires their teamwork and dedication to the sport. “They genuinely seem like great teammates, committed to their training and the game,” he noted.
With the renewal of Heated Rivalry for a second season—which is set to begin filming this summer—Williams has set ambitious fitness goals. “I want to gain muscle mass and achieve broader shoulders,” he stated. “I’m aiming to add 10 pounds of muscle to my frame and aspire to match the size of my co-star from season one, who seems to have an unyielding commitment to hitting the gym.”
