In June, Brianna Minor and her fiancé discovered an unusual bowl on the fireplace of their new home, which they initially overlooked. However, upon moving in, while preparing food, they noticed their dogs fixating on a spot under the stove. Investigating, her fiancé found a gecko, later named Dotty.
Realizing that the bowl was likely intended as a water/food bowl for the reptile, Minor expressed how quickly they captured Dotty and decided to keep her. They quickly bought supplies to set up her enclosure, and Dotty has since become a cherished part of their family. Minor mentioned that Dotty recently shed her skin, a sign that she’s comfortable in her new environment. They feel as if their home was meant for Dotty, stating, “This is Dotty’s house; we’re just living in it!”
