The GoodLife Group, a prominent fitness company in Canada, has recently secured a minority investment led by Apollo Global Management Inc. This strategic move aims to propel the company’s growth and enhance its service offerings across the nation.

Talaal Azeem, a managing director at Apollo, stated that this investment will supply the necessary capital for GoodLife to further its long-term objectives.

“This investment will bolster GoodLife as the leading fitness company in the country, and we could not ask for a better partner in Apollo,” said Jeff van Haeren, CEO of GoodLife Group, in a recent press release. He added, “Our dedicated leadership team and employees across all our brands are prepared for growth and enthusiastic about the next phase of our company.”

The investment values GoodLife at approximately $2 billion, according to reports by Reuters, and will be executed through funds and affiliates of Apollo.

Based in London, Ontario, GoodLife boasts 400 clubs and serves around 1.5 million members nationwide.

The completion of this deal is contingent upon regulatory approvals and certain closing conditions.
