US President Donald Trump awarded the nation’s highest honors in science and technology to six prominent tech leaders, including Elon Musk, during the New Golden Age Summit at the Institute of Peace in Washington, DC. The recipients of the National Medal of Science include Musk (SpaceX), Sergey Brin (Google), Jensen Huang (Nvidia), and Lisa Su (AMD).
Additionally, Michael Dell (Dell Technologies) and Satya Nadella (Microsoft) received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. Trump praised Musk as “our modern-day Thomas Edison” and emphasized the global impact of Nvidia.
He announced initiatives to maintain America’s leadership in science and technology, including an order on quantum computing and the Genesis Mission aimed at harnessing superintelligence for scientific discovery. Trump asserted his administration’s commitment to keeping the U.S. at the forefront of technological advancements.
