Key policy changes include:
- Travel Restrictions: Board members are limited to attending one domestic conference per year and one international conference every two years. All travel must be pre-approved by the board.
- Lodging Cap: The maximum lodging expense is set at $512 per night, subject to annual increases based on the Consumer Price Index.
- Stipend Limit: Monthly stipend compensation is capped at $1,000.
- Position Appointments: Roles on the board will rotate annually.
Porada indicated that more changes to the bylaws are expected in the future. The meeting held significance as it was attended by Commissioner Curt Hagman, who recently returned after a brief absence due to an FBI raid on his home. The search is part of an ongoing investigation, though details regarding its connection to the airport’s operations remain unclear.
