Saturday has always been my favorite day of the week, primarily because it’s dedicated to a soothing pampering session at home. I’d switch off my phone, draw a warm bath, and immerse myself in relaxation for a few hours.
However, as life often does, it has intruded upon my Saturday rituals. Deadlines loom, the house needs tidying, errands must be run, and both pets and family require attention. Starting today, I’m reclaiming my Saturdays for self-care, setting aside a couple of hours just for me.

I typically don’t indulge in extravagant bath products, but I have a couple of favorites from Dr. Teal’s:
Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Soaking Solution with Eucalyptus and Spearmint
and
Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath with Eucalyptus and Spearmint
.
Both have delightful scents, are budget-friendly, and come in large sizes that last ages. The Soaking Solution is fantastic for sore muscles, while combining it with the bath gel leaves my skin soft and moisturized. I’ve relied on these for years, always keeping some extras in stock. I also enjoy adding a bit of body oil to my bath. Before soaking, I sometimes use my
BelleCore Honey Bell Body Buffer
.
I invested in it a few years back, and it was worth every cent. Not only does it relieve sore muscles, but it also exfoliates the skin and may help reduce the appearance of cellulite—ideal after a tough week or an intense workout.

After soaking for a while, I take the time to exfoliate and shave my legs. I find that warm water opens up the pores, allowing for a closer shave. Every two weeks, I attempt to use my
TRIA Hair Removal Laser
.
Though I’ve had this device for several years and TRIA has released an updated model that’s supposedly more efficient, I can attest that it does work. However, keeping up with it can be tedious—consistency is key for results, and the process of moving slowly over each hair often leads me to skip this step.

No pamper day is complete without a face mask. Recently, I shared my current favorite, the
Eve Lom Rescue Mask
,
but I still enjoy my Origins Charcoal Mask. My usual routine involves washing my face with a gentle cleanser, exfoliating my skin and lips with a washcloth, applying my chosen mask, and relaxing for 15-20 minutes. Once I’m out of the bath, I follow up with a serum, eye cream, lash serum, moisturizer, lip balm, and my favorite body butter.

One of my favorite aspects of my Saturday pampering sessions is disconnecting from my phone. There are no texts to answer, no scrolling through Instagram or Twitter, and no emails to check. Instead, I put on some soothing music, read a good book or magazine, or simply open the window, allowing fresh air to fill the room as I close my eyes and breathe deeply. It’s refreshing to disconnect from the outside world for a while.

Do you have your own little rituals on weekends?
