Cat of the Day: Rusty and Knives
Rusty
Submitted by: Taylor McGee, Kidney Transplant
“Rusty is a typical orange cat who turned 16 in August but still acts like a kitten and gets the zoomies often!”

Knives
Submitted by: Taylor Hill, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
“Knives was our first foster failure. Don’t let her name fool you! She has the cutest high-pitched meow and loves to use it all the time, especially to get attention when mom and dad are in the kitchen. She adores everyone, loves cuddles, catnip, her scratching posts, and enjoys watching Cat TV on YouTube. You’ll likely find her lounging on giant bean bag chairs or sunning by the window. The best part? She greets us at home, flopping down for belly rubs. She’s the perfect addition to our family!”
Rusty and Knives were featured in the Sept. 8, 2026, edition of MyVUMC News.
