How to get the most out of your DSLR

Recently, I have discovered the joys of “slow blogging”. Although this approach wasn’t entirely my choice, I’ve found it liberating. Taking the time to slow down has allowed me to produce some of my most cherished posts in recent weeks. The pressure of daily writing lifted, enabling me to craft content I truly felt passionate about. I shared my thoughts on this during a recent post, When Life Gives You Lemons, published in June. Despite having only published a small number of posts, I was still busy behind the scenes, primarily working on revamping older content—a topic I addressed in Blog tips: How to Increase Traffic by Updating Old Blog Posts.

Every day after my accident posed new challenges, and it took a toll on my morale. I vividly remember sitting on my living room floor, overwhelmed by a sea of paperwork—business cards, letters, and messages—when I broke down in tears. Even straightforward tasks, like arranging a rental car, felt daunting while navigating someone else’s insurance. Coupled with my injury, it was an incredibly stressful time. I often found myself wondering, “Why is this happening to me?” but quickly snapped back to a mantra: “take it one step at a time.” Embracing this mindset allowed me to regain a sense of control amid the chaos. Focusing on a single step can be incredibly effective when life’s challenges feel insurmountable. As I worked to maintain a positive attitude, I also shared insights in 15 Simple Ways to Rejuvenate Your Mind, Body, and Spirit, covering various approaches that helped lighten my mood and add joy to my day.

Nighttime Anxiety: What to Do When Your Anxious Mind Won’t Let You Sleep was particularly meaningful to me, as I have often grappled with bedtime anxiety this year. I enjoyed sharing various products and rituals that helped ease my anxious feelings. While I believe that self-care isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, I do think everyone should have a Self-Care Kit—a curated collection of comforting items that uplift your spirit and promote relaxation for both your mind and body. Recently, I also delved into some mental habits that can rob us of happiness, such as fixating on what we don’t want or worrying about others’ opinions, detailed in this post.

Additionally, I shared my summer beauty essentials, explored affirmations for boosting confidence, and, as usual, provided an overview of the various products currently in my makeup bag.

As we move into August, I hope you are having a fantastic month so far. I don’t often say this, but July seemed to pass by in a blur, and I’m eager for August to take its time. 🙂
