Tesla Roadster allegedly to include “aerial” functionality.

The Tesla Roadster 2.0 prototype, first announced in 2017, boasted jaw-dropping specs, including a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 1.9 seconds, a 200-kWh battery, and a promised range of 621 miles—all for a significantly lower price than competitors like the Rimac Nevera. However, the anticipated 2020 delivery timeline passed without any Roadsters appearing.

Recently, exciting news emerged: Tesla plans to unveil the Roadster on October 1, and reports suggest it may feature flying capabilities. Though many remain skeptical, particularly given Elon Musk’s history of overpromising, the concept of a flying car—powered potentially by cold gas thrusters—has sparked interest.

Notably, the Roadster’s prototype has undergone numerous design changes, veering away from the aggressive look reminiscent of spy planes, and instead adopting a more traditional sports car aesthetic. This shift reflects years of development challenges and delayed timelines, with varying design directives from Musk and his team.

Fans eagerly await the upcoming reveal, which will determine whether Tesla can deliver on its ambitious promises or continue the trend of excitement without fulfillment.
